Terms of Use

This Agreement of Terms of Use ("Terms") governs our relationship with users and others who interact with Skilroy ("Service"). By using or accessing the Skilroy application, on any platform, you agree to these Terms.

Use of Our Service

Skilroy serves as a way to explore places around you, keep in touch with your friends, and know exactly where they are at the moment of their check-in. You do not have to register in order to visit the Skilroy website. In order to access certain features of the Service, such as getting full access to the website and using the Mobile Applications, you will need to create a "Member" account.

Skilroy is intended for users who are eighteen (18) years old or older. Any registration, use or access to Skilroy by anyone under 18 is in violation of this Agreement (But we won't take any action to make sure this is followed).

You may never use another User's account without strict permission from that User. When creating your account, you must provide valid and complete information. You ("You") are solely responsible for the activity that occurs on your account and you are responsible for keeping your password secret... and safe. If you suspect that your account has been compromised you must immediately notify Skilroy. Skilroy is not liable for any unauthorized use of your account.

You may edit your information on your Member profile by changing your settings on Skilroy. By providing Skilroy your email address you consent to Skilroy using the email address to send you Skilroy-related news and notices, including any notices required by law, because we don't like snail-mail. You can opt out of receiving notices and news any time from the Service's profile settings page. However, opting out of the email notification may prevent you from receiving important information regarding updates and news.

You assume all risks arising in connection with looking for or creating a location on Skilroy (a "Spot") or any other activity performed on any of the platforms. Always use common sense and caution when using the application. For instance, be aware that setting a Spot as your home lets the entire world know your real life address.

The development team of Skilroy ("We", "Us") reserves all rights to at any point "pull the plug" and remove all content and information connected to the Service, databases or applications. These aspects are always subject to change and We reserve the right to, at any time, interrupt the Service and/or permanently or temporarily terminate, suspend, or otherwise refuse to permit your access to Skilroy with or without any prior notice for any or no reason. You agree that Skilroy will not be liable to any interruption of the Service or your account.

You and only you are responsible for your interaction with other Users of the Service. We reserve the right, but have no obligation, to monitor disputes between you and other users. We will never be liable for your interaction with other Users or any other User's action or inaction towards you.

User Content

Areas of Skilroy may allow Users to post and/or create Spots, comments, messages and information (collectively "User Content"). You are responsible for your own submitted User Content to the Service, and you agree that we are only acting as a passive conduit for your online distribution and publication of your User Content. Skilroy takes no responsibility and assumes no liability for any User Content that you or any other User or thid party posts or sends over the Service.

You understand and agree that any loss or damage that occurs as a result of the use of any User Content that you made available is solely your problem. Skilroy is not responsible for any public display, misuse or validity of your User Content.

Licence Grant

By posting User Content on the Service, you implicitly grant, and you represent and warrant that you have a right to grant, to Skilroy a royalty-free, sublicensable, transferable, perpetual, irrevocable, non-exclusive, worldwide, universal license to use, reproduce, modify, publish, list information regarding, edit, translate, distribute, publicly perform, publicly display, and make derivative works of all such User Content.

End User Licenses

Skilroy Service.

Subject to the terms and conditions of this Agreement, you are hereby granted a non-exclusive, limited, personal license to use the Service. Skilroy reserves all rights not expressly granted herein. Skilroy may terminate this license at any time for any or no reason.

Privacy Policy

We take privacy of our Users seriously, and by using the Service, you are consenting to have your personal dataz transferred to and processed in Sweden. For more information about our privacy policy, click here

Security

We have implemented commercially reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to implement your privacy settings and secure your personal information from accidental loss and from unauthorized access, use, alteration or disclosure. However, we cannot guarantee that unauthorized third parties ("The Chinese", "Internet Bandits") will never be able to defeat our security measures and gain access to your information. You acknowledge that you provide your personal information at your own risk.

Third-Party Links

Skilroy may contain links to third-party websites or services not owned or controlled by Skilroy. We have no control over, and assume neither responsibility or liability for the content or activity of any third party websites or services. If you access a third party website from Skilroy, you do this on your own risk, and we will refer you to this paragraph, should that site contain malware or any other crazy stuff.

No Warranty

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. WITHOUT LIMITING THE FOREGOING, SKILROY, ITS PARTNERS AND LICENSORS DISCLAIM ANY WARRANTIES, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE CONTENT IS ACCURATE, RELIABLE OR CORRECT; THAT THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS; THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE AVAILABLE AT ANY PARTICULAR TIME OR LOCATION, UNINTERRUPTED OR SECURE; THAT ANY DEFECTS OR ERRORS WILL BE CORRECTED; OR THAT THE SERVICE IS FREE OF VIRUSES OR OTHER HARMFUL COMPONENTS. ANY CONTENT DOWNLOADED OR OTHERWISE OBTAINED THROUGH THE USE OF THE SERVICE IS DOWNLOADED AT YOUR OWN RISK AND YOU WILL BE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE TO YOUR COMPUTER SYSTEM OR LOSS OF DATA THAT RESULTS FROM SUCH DOWNLOAD.

TL;DR Version

Don't be stupid while using the application.

If you are stupid, we reserve the right to do the following, with or without reason:
  • Suspend or Terminate your membership.
  • Edit or Remove any content deemed inappropriate or widely inaccurate.
  • Be aware that everything you publish on Skilroy will be public for any other user, unless you have explicitly changed your publicity-status.
  • We are in no way liable for the content, links or other user activity on the Skilroy Application.
  • Passwords are stored encrypted and is NEVER transferred unencrypted between our clients and the database.
  • We reserve the right to, at any time, stop developing, terminating or suspending the Skilroy Service.
